Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 1982) is an acclaimed American actress. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school when her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling with finances. The role she played in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television movie Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the lead actress on Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace was dropped from the series in the year 2005, to take on a more significant role in films, having appeared in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character on Lost for two episodes, including the finale of the series. She also was a guest in the sixth series of Californication. She is Faith an actress who acts as a muse to celebrities and attracts the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's a Gyllenhaal. daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens She began working in small roles for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko along with her brother. She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise for both her performances as the main character of Secretary (2002), which is an erotic romantic drama and Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated by her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. She starred in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However the role she played in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). She was recognized as the Best Supporting Actress at the Oscar Awards for her performance of a single mom on screen in Crazy Heart. Then she played in comedies and dramas such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 Other characters include as a secret agent for The Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared as a singer in Frank 2014, and as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the title role. Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
