John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has touched a lot of people through his music. Many of these are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and moved to Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state have drawn many to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver was by far one of the top artists who represented Colorado. Denver is the Hall of Fames' inaugural inductee was recognized with this honor in 2011. He is now Colorado's international image. Certainly in my travels you come across someone on the opposite side of the world or someone from New Zealand and you say "I'm of Colorado and the first thing that comes out of their mouths is Oh John Denver! Brown declared. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short career performing in small folk group comprised of Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the song with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver heard an early version he knew right away the track could become a hit single. After performing the song at Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
